Driving the View is a powerpop band hailing from Red Wing, Minnesota. Formed in 2020, the trio consists of Greg Nelson on guitar and vocals, Steve Gustafson on drums and vocals, and Tim Thomas on bass and vocals.
Drawing inspiration from bands such as The Replacements, Material Issue, Matthew Sweet and The Descendents, the band's sound is characterized by catchy hooks, tight harmonies, and infectious grooves that will leave listeners humming along to their tunes. With Greg's dynamic guitar riffs, Steve's propulsive drumming, and Tim's driving basslines, Driving the View delivers a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh.
The three members of Driving the View are grizzled veterans of the Minnesota music scene, each with over 30 years of experience that contribute to each song they write and perform. They are currently in the studio, working on their first full length LP, and preparing for a summer full of shows.

Tim Thomas is an American Singer-Songwriter and has been active since 1991. Born and raised in Minnesota, his primary influences are local; from The Replacements and Gear Daddies to LFTR PLR, The Hold Steady, The Cardinal Sin, SuperHopper & Bob Dylan
